        My ethnicity is guatemala.The mix of different races guatemala has are blends indigenous Mayan, European, and Caribbean influences.The first item that came in mind that represents Guatemala is the Flag.The flag includes the resplendent quetzal which is a type of bird seen in the flag, the national bird of Guatemala that symbolizes liberty.ANd in the middle it includes a date referring to having independence from spain indicating Guatemala are willing to defend itself by force if needed to.The dish shown in the poster is called the Traditional Guatemala Breakfast.It includes eggs, black beans, fried plantains, crema and tortillas or bread and it is done very well.Crema is a sauce similar to american sour cream but its not sour more like creamier.In the country we have a tradition wear for parties or special occasions.Its only for females and they are a type of clothing of traje known as the huipil (blouse)meaning a blouse, the faja (belt/sash)meaning belt for the females dress, and the corte (skirt) meaning skirt.These are the specific clothes you'll see a female wear when arriving at Guatemala Mens would wear regular clothes.Guatemala is also known for the pottery they have.Called ceramics they create this for their coffee and to also make business.They create to make a store and sell their ceramics including other potteries to help get money.Their currency they use are called quetzal. One quetzal is .13 cents in USD.

 As a class we were given an assignment talking about our culture.we create a poem talking about the culture.what is it.where is it, and whats interesting about the country.Every place has a special meaning to their name or place.Well my culture is Guatemala.And Guatemala is a place in south america of  south east of Mexico.Guatemala flag   has two blue stripes that represent that the nation is locked between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, while the middle white stripe represents peace.In the middle theres a bird called  The Resplendent Quetzal. The national bird lends its name to the Guatemalan currency.  Guatemala is best known for its  volcanic landscape, fascinating Mayan culture and the colorful colonial city of Antigua
