   I took notes in class in which we had to go through a poem.The poem talked about how a mother has a talk with her son.They seem to have a good relationship because they talk and get serious about life.The mother say that life isnt a crystal stair.In which the reader as hughes includes crystal stair to entertain and get the reader’s attention.The mother with saying crystal stair means a comparison about her life.And if you think about a crystal stair it is known to look expensive,well built,Shiny,Clean, and strong.The mother tell her son in which life isnt crystal clear its isnt easy.She gas gone through struggles and yet she is still getting ahead.She informs her son to do the game and not give up whatever get in the way to make you give up.Life isnt hard but it is difficult.

 In class we finished reading chapter 8 and we had to answer following questions in common lit.The chapter talked about the feeling of gatsby having for daisy and how he will commit to being with her.Meaning besides him having wealth and taking care of his money he has to be there for her.

 In class we read chapter 5 in the great gatsby.Including a worksheet asking questions about the chapter.The chapter included gatsby going to his house and wanting to invite one a old friend.The old friend was a female who he had feeling for and hadnt seen for 5 years.It was daisy.Eventually they met up at the house and while they were confronting each other gatsby decided to dress proper.Be well dressed and be romantic with flowers to show some respect and kind attitude for not seeing her and because he wanted her to feel special.By the time gatsby got closer and came to the time of daisy meeting him he began to be nervous.He felt lighheaded and the reason was because he liked her but felt what if something goes wrong he was just nervous meeting her.Later on they have good communication and lead up to talking about how he got his house ,how much it cost.What gatsby was trying to do was make him known that he's a wealthy and a well respected man by his clothing .He wants her to kno...

  Collage         My ethnicity is guatemala.The mix of different races guatemala has are blends indigenous Mayan, European, and Caribbean influences.The first item that came in mind that represents Guatemala is the Flag.The flag includes the resplendent quetzal which is a type of bird seen in the flag, the national bird of Guatemala that symbolizes liberty.ANd in the middle it includes a date referring to having independence from spain indicating Guatemala are willing to defend itself by force if needed to.The dish shown in the poster is called the Traditional Guatemala Breakfast.It includes eggs, black beans, fried plantains, crema and tortillas or bread and it is done very well.Crema is a sauce similar to american sour cream but its not sour more like creamier.In the country we have a tradition wear for parties or special occasions.Its only for females and they are a type of clothing of  traje  known as the huipil (blouse)meaning a blouse, the  ...

 We read as a class and some people have to read the play.We started off with troy who was a working at a garbage carrier and he had a disagreement with all colored had to pick up the trash and the whites were to drive the trucks.it later shows his close friend of 30 years bono who is the follower in the friendship.Telling him don't argue with the boss because you would get yourself fired.Troy was saying how he cant get fired for simply asking a question.He wasnt doing anything wrong.

 In class we read the book Fences.We continued reading but in a group of 4 and we had to play as the characters and read and answer questions provided to us.What i learned more about the book is that Troy has a younger brother by 7 years.His brother had gone through a near death experience.He was in the world war ll and survived but with a metal plate attached to his head because of the war.His brother was gabriel and what he decided to do after the war was to have faith and get closer to God.Because of how he almost experienced death but survived it and at the time he wasn't close with God but from the experience he went through he changed his way.
